Your Responsibilities

As an Environmental Engineering Manager forJohn Deere Davenport Works located in Davenport, Iowa, you will have the following responsibilities:
  • Manage the environmental team to continuously improve the Environmental Programs, the ISO 14001:2015 Management System, internal policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all requirements.
  • Prepare and submit timely reports, environmental permit applications, internal metrics, and compliance reporting, including but not limited to: SWPPP, TRI, Tier 2, SPCC, Title V, annual permit reporting, GHG verification, etc.
  • Conduct Environmental Program and ISO 14001:2015 audits at Deere facilities within the region to verify compliance.
  • Lead the environmental team, facility leadership and operations to champion our 2030 LEAP ambitions, instill a culture of environmental compliance, awareness, responsibility, and accountability.

What Skills You Need

  • 5 or more years of work experience in an environmental compliance profession
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Experience interpreting complex environmental regulation to determine applicability for a manufacturingfacility
  • Ability to develop and implement environmental strategies to reduce risk and ensure compliance with various environmental permits, plans, regulation, and management systems
  • Strong people skills and willingness to work with employees across different functional areas
  • Experience with MS Office 365
  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to travel up to 10%


What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience with ISO 14001:2015
  • Experience with Title V Permits and Reporting
  • Experience with wastewater treatment operations


Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
  • Bachelors Degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering. Environmental Science or closely related field
